DC Power Technician (Levels 1-4)

Position Overview
We're hiring DC Power Technicians across multiple levels to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of DC power systems in telecom, data center, and critical infrastructure environments. These roles support live power environments and may include central offices, data centers, wireless sites, and industrial facilities.
Opportunities range from entry-level technicians with transferable electrical or telecom experience to senior lead technicians capable of running crews and overseeing complex DC power projects in the field.
Typical Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade DC power systems and related infrastructure
- Work with rectifiers, battery plants/strings, inverters, BDFBs, PDUs, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and emergency repair work in live environments
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, and technical documentation
- Support equipment installs, cable routing, terminations, and system turn-up activities
- Troubleshoot electrical and power-related issues in telecom or mission-critical environments
- Maintain accurate job documentation, service reports, and material tracking
- Follow all customer, site, and company safety procedures
- Lead technicians may oversee crews, coordinate job execution, mentor junior techs, and interface directly with customers and project managers
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience supporting DC power systems, telecom infrastructure, electrical systems, UPS equipment, battery backup systems, or related critical power environments
- Hands-on troubleshooting and installation experience preferred
- Ability to work in live telecom, data center, or industrial environments
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Comfortable with travel-based work and varying job site environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
- Lead-level candidates should have prior crew leadership and project coordination experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/drug screening requirements

- Military power-generation or electrical backgrounds
