Senior Data Scientist:

My client, an innovative Sports Analytics company in London, are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist, with experience of working within a sports/betting domain.

The Senior Data Scientist, must have proven expertise in sports modelling to lead projects that improve my clients current production models, whilst developing new markets for a range of different sports.

The Senior Data Scientist will lead the development of models and supervise ad hoc analysis using a variety of data sources to solve tasks which are relevant to the business. These tasks include; supporting development of existing and/or new sports forecasting products.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Experience in sports betting/analytics industry in a quantitative or data science role
• Possesses significant experience and a passion for statistical modelling for sports such as NBA and MLB (Ideally)
• Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling and machine learning, with relevant experience in the use of relevant Python libraries e.g. scikit-learn, xgboost, tensorflow, pymc3, statsmodels (and R equivalents)
• Experience generating reports, dashboards and data visualisations
• Markov chain simulation model experience
• SQL experience as well as experience working with relational databases
• Excellent presentation, documentation, time management, communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously across multiple teams.
