Agile Delivery Manager
Agile Delivery Manager
Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 2 days per week on site)
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 plus bonus and benefits
Do you enjoy creating order in complex delivery environments, helping teams work more effectively, and turning promising ideas into tangible customer outcomes? This role offers the chance to influence how digital products are delivered across a well‑established UK organisation.
We're seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to work at the centre of product and engineering teams. This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding how work really flows, identifying friction in the system, and enabling teams to deliver consistently and sustainably.
The role
As an Agile Delivery Manager, you'll be embedded within cross‑functional product squads, working day‑to‑day with Product Managers and Engineers. Rather than managing from the sidelines, you'll be actively involved in improving delivery effectiveness, increasing transparency, and helping teams reach better outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping teams see where work sits, what might be blocking progress, and how delivery can become more predictable.
- Analysing delivery data and metrics to highlight constraints, trends and improvement opportunities.
- Coaching teams in contemporary Agile ways of working, with a focus on outcomes rather than process for process' sake.
- Identifying and managing dependencies, risks and constraints early, before they impact delivery.
- Supporting initiatives that involve compliance, regulation or change across areas such as payments and accounts.
- Improving visibility of work from early discovery through to release and adoption.
This position is not traditional project management. It's an embedded, hands‑on role focused on systems, flow and continuous improvement rather than schedules and reporting.
About you
You'll have experience working within Agile product or technology teams and feel confident partnering closely with engineers and product leaders. You'll be comfortable using delivery data to explain what's happening and to guide better decision‑making.
We're particularly interested in candidates who bring:
- Experience supporting one or more Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban or blended approaches.
- A working knowledge of flow‑based metrics such as WIP, throughput and cycle time-and how they drive better delivery.
- The ability to make work visible and align teams around shared objectives.
- A clear, calm and collaborative communication style.
- Practical experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.
- A genuine curiosity about how delivery systems behave and improve over time.
Experience in regulated industries (for example fintech, gambling, or gaming) would be advantageous, but it's not a requirement.
Why join?
You'll be joining an organisation where improvement ideas are encouraged and acted on. It's large enough to present interesting challenges, but agile enough that your influence will be seen quickly. You'll work alongside pragmatic, approachable people who value trust, accountability and getting things done well.
Benefits
- Salary between £55,000 and £65,000
- Discretionary annual bonus
- Enhanced holiday allowance that increases with service
- 24/7 digital GP access
- Enhanced parental and family leave
- Wellbeing and financial support programmes
- Hybrid working model (2 days on site)
If you're passionate about improving delivery systems, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, and helping people do their best work, we'd love to hear from you.
